"Most of the time [at concerts] I wasn't officially supposed to be there. I used to put the camera over my shoulder – I'd take the lens off so the body would sit in between my shoulder blades, and I'd have the film canisters down my pants!
"Then I'd get someone to carry the lens in. Once, when there was nobody to help take the stuff in, I tucked the lens into long socks, and wore baggy jeans over the top. I had practised at home walking around, and it did look like I was walking funny. As soon as I walked past security they found it immediately."
