While she may pour her heart out on her chart-topping records, Adele is very good at keeping her private life under wraps. She has raised her son, Angelo, out of the glare of the paparazzi flashbulbs and until recently very little was known about the boy's father, her partner Simon Konecki.
Speculation has suggested that Adele and Konecki got married at some point last year, which appeared to be confirmed when the record-breaking singer thanked her "husband" in an emotional speech at the Grammy Awards.
“I appreciate it, the Academy, I love you, my manager, my husband and my son – you're the only reason I do it,” she said.
While Adele wasn't at the Brit Awards on Wednesday, meaning she had to accept her Global Success Award with a pre-recorded video message from Australia, where she is preparing to perform for the final leg of her tour, Konecki was in attendance.
The Sun reports that Konecki, who is an Eton-educated charity founder, kept his distance from the starrier tables at the Brits ceremony, but couldn't hide his wedding ring.
"He was wearing a gold ring on his wedding finger. He did try his best to keep it hidden for a lot of the evening but it was blatantly obvious," said The Sun's source.
"It's amazing that the pair of them have married and even more impressive that they have managed to keep it quiet. It was a shame Adele couldn't be there with Simon but he was having fun with his colleagues and friends."
Konecki reportedly celebrated Adele's Global Success Award gong with his friends but left the event 15 minutes before the end.
