Hive Beach Café, Burton Bradstock
Whether you’re after shell-on king prawns with a thyme mayonnaise and Hive’s own artisan bread; a hake goujon ciabatta with celeriac remoulade; a lightly spiced fish soup; grilled sea bass with crayfish and tarragon potato salad; or good old tempura battered hake fish and chips, the Jurassic Coast’s Hive café has it all.
Situated smack-bang on one of Dorset’s most beautiful National Trust beaches, it’s a good idea to turn up early since they don’t take bookings.
A sister outpost, Watch House Café, along the coast in West Bay serves wood-fired seafood pizzas, crab sandwiches and beautiful butterflied mackerel salads.
